Comprehensive evaluation of the token
AVT (Aventus) receives an overall score of 4.5/10, calculated directly from the weighted average of all six evaluated sections. The project demonstrates a credentialed, public team (including Sean Naderi and Alan Vey) and ongoing on-chain governance following the dissolution of the Aventus Foundation. However, these positive aspects are heavily overshadowed by significant security and market risks. Most notably, the official Aventus Network X channel disclosed that 'on 16 August, an attacker exploited a vulnerability in the Aventus codebase and minted AVT that should not have been accessible to them'—a severe compromise of token supply integrity with unverified remediation. In addition, the codebase has not undergone a formal third-party audit since 2018, development opacity remains high with a deprecated core node repository, the token has suffered a ~98% drawdown from all-time highs, and 24-hour trading liquidity is extremely thin ($33K–$109K). No data gaps were present in the analysis.

About Aventus (AVT)
AVT (Aventus) is the native utility and governance token of the Aventus Network ecosystem, operating on the Ethereum blockchain and Aventus. The project was established by a team including Council Chair Sean Naderi, CPTO Nahu Seyoum, and Founder Emeritus Alan Vey, alongside external development contributions from MVP Workshop. AVT functions as a mechanism for node staking, network reward capture, and decentralized governance participation. In May 2024, the governance structure transitioned following a community vote that dissolved the original Aventus Foundation in favor of on-chain governance.
The tokenomics framework underwent an adjustment in 2024, replacing continuous inflation with a fixed daily node-reward pool that halves annually, representing a projected additional emission of approximately 10.68 million AVT over time. AVT has a circulating supply of approximately 6 million tokens and a total supply of around 10 million. Token utility includes voting on proposals via Snapshot, though participation requires a 100,000 AVT threshold to submit proposals, and active stakers receive double voting weight.
The project faces notable security and market risks. Official project communications disclosed that on 16 August, an attacker exploited a vulnerability in the Aventus codebase to mint unauthorized AVT tokens; the exact financial loss and subsequent remediation status remain unverified in protocol documentation. The codebase has not undergone a published third-party security audit since a November 2018 review by Solidified, and its core node repository has been marked as deprecated. Financially, AVT has experienced a drawdown of approximately 98% from its all-time high of $11.09, accompanied by micro-cap valuation, low daily trading volumes, and a holder base of fewer than 5,000 addresses.
