    AI Analysis

    Comprehensive evaluation of the token

WTAC (Wrapped TAC) serves as the wrapped representation of TAC Protocol on the TON ecosystem. The overall assessment reflects significant fundamental and operational weaknesses across all dimensions. In Active Development (4.5/10), WTAC operates purely passively as a wrapper contract without standalone repository activity. Community Support (1.0/10) is practically nonexistent with no dedicated channels, forums, or tracker engagement. Tokenomics (5.0/10) is weighed down by heavy centralization risks, conflicting circulating metrics, and high concentration under Foundation control. Market and Use Case (2.0/10) is impaired by micro-cap status, near-zero trading volume (~$8,684), and a ~95% price drawdown from peaks. Team and Governance (3.0/10) lacks verifiable public credentials and decentralized governance. Crucially, Security and Audit History (3.5/10) establishes a major exploit: 'On May 12, 2026, the TAC Protocol team confirmed a security incident in its cross-chain bridge with TON; attackers stole assets worth more than $3 million.' While ~90% of funds were recovered and the Foundation committed to backfilling remaining losses, the bridge remains paused pending security reviews, presenting direct operational risk to the wrapped asset.

    About Wrapped TAC (WTAC)

WTAC (Wrapped TAC) is the 1:1 wrapped token representation of TAC, an EVM execution layer operating on the TON ecosystem. Developed in association with TacBuild, WTAC functions as a derivative asset with no independent utility, supply schedule, or standalone development repository, serving strictly to represent underlying TAC across supported network environments.

The underlying TAC token features a fixed supply of 10 billion with a vesting schedule extending through June 2029. However, WTAC faces significant centralization risks, with token allocations heavily controlled by the TAC Foundation and an absence of formal governance structures or a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). The leadership team lacks verifiable public backgrounds in available sources. In the market, WTAC has experienced an extreme price collapse of roughly 95% from its peak, alongside low trading liquidity and volume.

In May 2026, the protocol suffered a critical security incident when the TAC cross-chain bridge with TON was exploited due to an issue in its sorter software, resulting in the theft of over $3 million. According to the team's official post-mortem, total losses reached approximately $2.86 million, of which roughly 90% was recovered, leaving around $288,000 unrecovered after funds were routed through privacy protocols and mixers. Following the breach, the bridge was paused and cross-chain operations were halted pending external security audits and a treasury backfill from the TAC Foundation.
