    AI Analysis

    Comprehensive evaluation of the token

WeatherXM (WXM) is a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) delivering real-time localized weather data via a network of thousands of connected hardware stations. The project demonstrates authentic operational traction with public, credible leadership backed by Placeholder VC, active software shipping across mobile apps and APIs, and continuous on-chain reward distributions on Arbitrum One. However, the asset faces substantial investment headwinds: secondary market liquidity is exceptionally poor with negligible 24-hour trading volumes ($5 to $182), token distribution involves ongoing emission pressures alongside a 30% investor allocation, and no verified third-party smart contract audits were identified in available documentation. No qualifying red-flag events, security exploits, or regulatory actions were found. The overall score of 5.45 reflects genuine product utility and real-world hardware deployment counterbalanced by severe market illiquidity and missing independent security verification.

    About WeatherXM (WXM)

WeatherXM (WXM) is the utility and governance token of a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) designed to collect and provide localized meteorological data. The network operates through independently owned hardware weather stations that receive token rewards for supplying weather measurements. Deployed as an ERC-20 token on Arbitrum One and Ethereum, WXM features a fixed total supply of 100 million tokens distributed over a 10-year emissions model, with 55% designated for station rewards. WXM serves as a mechanism for protocol governance and is required for purchasing commercial data licenses from the network.

The project is led by founders Manolis Nikiforakis, Nicolas Tsiligaridis, and Stratos Theodorou, with backing from venture capital firm Placeholder VC. Operational infrastructure includes thousands of active and deployed weather stations transmitting data, open-source software, and commercial integrations such as a hardware deployment collaboration with SwissBorg. Governance is coordinated through WeatherXM Improvement Proposals (WIPs) via Snapshot-based voting under the oversight of the WeatherXM Network Association and WeatherXM AG.

Evaluation data highlights several structural and market risks. Secondary market liquidity is heavily constrained, characterized by negligible 24-hour trading volumes and low market capitalization estimates. Furthermore, no verified third-party smart contract security audits are documented in available sources, and governance mechanisms remain partially centralized via off-chain voting rather than fully autonomous on-chain execution. The token also experiences ongoing emission pressure alongside a 30% initial allocation to private investors.
