Comprehensive evaluation of the token
Salvium (SAL) is a privacy-focused Layer-1 proof-of-work blockchain based on Monero with customized features aimed at MiCA regulatory compliance (such as 'Exchange Mode'). Active development is the project's strongest asset (Score: 8.0/10), evidenced by regular hard fork upgrades, continuous release tagging on GitHub, and a legal assessment by gunnercooke GmbH. However, several material risks constrain the overall profile: Market and Use Case (Score: 2.0/10) reflects extreme micro-cap valuation ($173K–$212K) and thin trading volume. Tokenomics (Score: 5.5/10) has structured issuance but includes permanent tail emissions and incomplete distribution disclosures. Community metrics (Score: 4.0/10) lack verifiable engagement data, while Team & Governance (Score: 4.0/10) is constrained by full anonymity and centralized core control. Security and Audit History (Score: 4.5/10) reflects a clean operational record without exploits, offset by an uncompleted/unpublished formal audit report and a 12.01% pre-mine. No qualifying red-flag events or data gaps were identified. The overall score is calculated as the exact weighted average across all six sections.

About Salvium (SAL)
Salvium (SAL) is an independent, privacy-focused Layer-1 blockchain built on a Monero-derived codebase. The network operates on a proof-of-work consensus mechanism utilizing the RandomX algorithm with a 120-second block time. Salvium incorporates privacy features such as stealth addresses and ring signatures, as well as a specialized T-CLSAG signature scheme. To address regulatory requirements, including the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework, the project designed an "Exchange Mode" intended to support compliant transactions alongside its default privacy settings.
The native token, SAL, features an initial supply cap of 184.4 million coins and an initial block reward of 123.825 SAL, supplemented by permanent tail emissions to sustain miner participation. Its emission model includes staking with a 30-day lockup and a disclosed 12.01% pre-mine, which accounts for an 8.48% time-locked Operations Fund and a 3.53% Build Fund. Protocol development has progressed through hard forks, including the launch of the "Salvium One" upgrade in October 2025 and a subsequent hard fork at block 465,000 in April 2026.
Several structural and market risks characterize the project. Salvium is developed by an anonymous team without a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) or on-chain voting system, leaving governance concentrated among core contributors. Although the project submitted its signature scheme to Cypher Stack for cryptographic review and secured a MiCAR-related legal opinion from gunnercooke GmbH, no completed audit reports with comprehensive findings have been published. Furthermore, SAL trades as an extreme micro-cap asset with limited trading volume and remains subject to the broader sector-level regulatory scrutiny faced by privacy-oriented cryptocurrencies.
