    AI Analysis

    Comprehensive evaluation of the token

CLO (Yei Finance) is a non-custodial lending and liquidity protocol operating on the Sei blockchain. The protocol demonstrates active ongoing development with a public executive leadership team (Austin Chien, Frank Wang, Jason Hsu) and documented roadmap execution. However, its overall profile is constrained across multiple areas. Tokenomics reflect significant dilution risk with only 12.91% circulating at genesis, an 87% overhang vesting through 2029, and limited direct value-capture mechanisms. Market metrics show high volatility with an ~88-90% drawdown from all-time highs and thin liquidity across its ~$10.9M-$16.2M market cap. Organic community governance and engagement remain minimal. From a security standpoint, while the protocol underwent third-party audits by Zellic and PeckShield, it suffered a confirmed $2.4M flash-loan exploit on December 2, 2024: 'On December 2, 2024, Yei Finance detected unusual activity in its WBTC pool and paused withdrawals. A post-mortem published by the team confirmed an exploit of approximately $2.4 million, rooted in the scaling-factor logic in ReserveLogic.sol / ScaledBalanceTokenBase, which was vulnerable to manipulation via flash loan attacks.' Additionally, KuCoin implemented a hostile delisting of the CLOUSDT futures contract on June 22, 2026. These qualifying risk factors cap the overall evaluation at 5.0.

    About Yei Finance (CLO)

CLO is the native governance and incentive token of Yei Finance (sometimes referenced as Clovis), a non-custodial lending and liquidity protocol operating on the Sei blockchain. The platform provides decentralized money market services, allowing users to lend and borrow digital assets within the Sei ecosystem. CLO was launched via a Token Generation Event (TGE) in October 2025 with a fixed total supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens, of which 12.91% entered circulation at genesis and the remaining 87.09% was scheduled for gradual release through September 2029.

The project is led by a publicly named executive team, including co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Austin Chien, Chief Technology Officer Frank Wang, and Chief Marketing Officer Jason Hsu. Yei Finance's core architecture and subsidiary components, such as YeiSwap and YeiBridge, have undergone security audits by third-party firms including Zellic and PeckShield, as well as independent security reviewers.

The protocol and token have experienced significant security and market challenges. On December 2, 2024, Yei Finance suffered a flash-loan exploit affecting its WBTC pool, resulting in a loss of approximately $2.4 million due to a vulnerability in the scaling-factor logic of its smart contracts. Following the incident, the team published a post-mortem and paused affected functions to resolve exposures. Additionally, the token has experienced high volatility, recording an all-time high drawdown of approximately 88% to 90% alongside substantial dilution risk from its vesting schedule. In June 2026, derivatives access was curtailed when KuCoin delisted the CLOUSDT futures contract.
