Comprehensive evaluation of the token
Baby Shark Universe (BSU) is a deprecated BEP-20 token that has rebranded and migrated via a 1:1 token swap to the successor token BABYSHARK (contract 0x777BF78ad4546B61607A17BF4a1977dBbeA98c28). Due to this migration, Active Development and Community Support sections lacked operative data and were scored -1.0, with their weights redistributed among the remaining sections. Tokenomics (5.0/10) reflect a significant dilution overhang with roughly 70% of the 850M supply locked or subject to extended vesting schedules, alongside centralized unvested allocations. Market and Use Case (2.5/10) shows poor traction, a severe 98% price drawdown from its 52-week peak, low trading volume, and a small market cap between $1.71M and $6.0M. Team and Governance (6.0/10) features a public executive team led by CEO Cheongyong Kim and backing from Notch Ventures, though governance remains centralized with DAO structures planned for late 2025. Security and Audit History (3.5/10) highlights substantial on-chain centralization flags (including hidden ownership and transfer pausability) and a lack of named smart contract audit reports, despite positive notes regarding handled historical attacks and a MiCAR whitepaper. Because BSU is a deprecated and migrated legacy asset, it should be avoided in favor of assessing the successor token.

About Baby Shark Universe (BSU)
Baby Shark Universe (BSU) is a deprecated token that rebranded and migrated via a 1:1 token swap to the successor BABYSHARK token on BNB Chain (contract 0x777BF78ad4546B61607A17BF4a1977dBbeA98c28). Originally deployed as a BEP-20 token on BNB Chain with contracts also existing on Ethereum, BSU was created as the utility token for a GameFi and metaverse project based on the official Baby Shark (Pinkfong) intellectual property. The project is led by Chief Executive Officer Cheongyong Kim and backed by Notch Ventures.
The token was structured with a fixed maximum supply of 850,000,000 BSU, intended to support in-game utility and entertainment applications. Tokenomics allocations left approximately 70% of the total supply locked under multi-year vesting schedules—including extended cliffs for private sale and advisor allocations—while marketing and liquidity allocations remained unlocked under team control. Governance over the project remained centralized, with token-weighted decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) mechanisms planned for late 2025.
BSU experienced a severe market decline, dropping approximately 98% from its 52-week high of $0.38 to trade between $0.0067 and $0.0081 amid low volume and weak market traction. In terms of security, token scans revealed notable centralization risks, including transfer pausability and hidden ownership, and no completed audit from a named firm could be independently verified despite the project's MiCAR whitepaper publication. The team also disclosed a Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attack detected during its Series A funding round, which was addressed through internal security reinforcements. With the token migration complete, active development and community operations on the legacy BSU contract have concluded.
