Verge (XVG) is a privacy-focused Proof-of-Work cryptocurrency originally launched in October 2014 under the name DogeCoinDark before rebranding to Verge in 2016. Founded by Justin Valo, the open-source project functions primarily as a payment currency designed to obscure user transactions and IP addresses using Tor, I2P routing, and the Wraith Protocol.
