Comprehensive evaluation of the token
XDEFI is the legacy token for the XDEFI Wallet multi-chain product, which previously rebranded to Ctrl Wallet and subsequently saw its flagship product permanently shut down in August 2026. The tokenomics section could not be meaningfully scored (-1.0) and was excluded from the weighted average due to project shutdown, winding down of staking contracts, and total depletion of utility. Development is stalled (1.0/10) with no updates in 2026, community engagement has collapsed to near zero (1.5/10), and market liquidity is virtually non-existent with 24-hour volumes near single digits (2.0/10). While the team possesses credible backgrounds (6.0/10) and the original wallet architecture underwent verified audits by Kudelski in 2021 with no protocol exploits on record (5.0/10), the token is effectively deprecated and abandoned. Per the deprecated token rule, the asset warrants an Avoid recommendation.

About XDEFI (XDEFI)
XDEFI (XDEFI) is a deprecated Ethereum-based token associated with the non-custodial multichain Web3 wallet project XDEFI Wallet, which rebranded to Ctrl Wallet before its flagship product was permanently shut down on August 19, 2026. Founded in 2020 by a team led by co-founder and CEO Émile, the wallet was built to facilitate asset management across 29 blockchains and integrate bridging solutions. The project operated under a centralized corporate entity without on-chain token governance or a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO).
The XDEFI token operates on the Ethereum network with a total supply of 240.00 million tokens, of which approximately 130.07 million are circulating under fully unlocked vesting schedules. In March 2021, Kudelski Security conducted an architecture and code review of the wallet extension, after which all identified high, medium, and low findings were remediated. However, third-party evaluations noted that the ERC-20 token contract itself lacked a dedicated, published standalone audit.
Following the rebrand to Ctrl Wallet and the subsequent permanent shutdown of the wallet product in August 2026, the utility of the token ceased. Development has stalled with no updates recorded in 2026, community engagement has dissipated, and the project's V1 staking contract entered a wind-down phase. The token experiences severe liquidity deficits and near-zero daily trading volumes, accompanied by market tracking flags regarding exchange liquidity constraints and potential delisting.
