    AI Analysis

    Comprehensive evaluation of the token

The overall assessment of TORUS reflects severe structural, liquidity, and activity risks across multiple dimensions, mitigated only by an early security audit. Two sections lacked sufficient data for evaluation: Community Support and Team and Governance (both scored -1.0 due to data gaps and name-collision issues in retrieved sources), and were excluded with weights redistributed proportionally among the remaining sections. Active Development scored 1.0/10 due to a complete absence of dated 2025–2026 development activity, commits, or releases, indicating a stalled or defunct posture. Market and Use Case scored 1.0/10, characterizing TORUS as an illiquid micro-cap token ($138k–$160k market cap, sub-$2k daily volume) with minimal presence and potential abandonment. Tokenomics scored 4.5/10 due to a closed-loop reflexive yield design with extreme holder centralization (~376 holders) and thin liquidity (~$25k pool side). Security and Audit History scored 6.0/10 based on a verified July 2020 CertiK audit of Torus's Distributed Key Generation protocol with no recorded security exploits or legal actions, though the audit is dated and narrow in scope. With a final weighted score of 3.1, TORUS represents an extremely high-risk, largely inactive asset.

    About Torus (TORUS)

TORUS is a cryptocurrency token associated with Torus Labs, a project focused on non-custodial, distributed key management systems (DKG) designed for decentralized applications. Operating on the Ethereum blockchain, the ecosystem was structured around key-management protocols and decentralized wallet infrastructure, alongside an associated DeFi token model featuring a mathematically bounded supply with decreasing daily emissions and a buy-and-burn mechanism.

In July 2020, security firm CertiK conducted a security assessment of Torus's Distributed Key Generation protocol implementation, focusing on node state transitions and Go codebase security. No security exploits, smart contract hacks, depeg events, or legal and regulatory enforcement actions have been documented for the project.

Despite its established infrastructure and audit history, the token exhibits significant operational and market risks. Development activity is stalled or defunct, with no recorded software releases, upgrades, or governance proposals observed. Market data reflects an illiquid micro-cap asset with a market capitalization between approximately $138,000 and $161,000, daily trading volume below $2,000, extreme holder concentration (~376 holders), and thin decentralized pool liquidity.
