Comprehensive evaluation of the token
SXP (Solar, formerly Swipe) is undergoing severe operational decline and project wind-down. Active Development was marked as Insufficient Data (-1.0) and excluded from the weighted average, with its weight redistributed across remaining categories. Synthesized findings across the active sections demonstrate project abandonment: the team announced the complete cessation of protocol development in January 2026 following leadership resignations, successor teams declined takeover due to structural custody issues, and the Core 5.0 upgrade was halted. Furthermore, governance is functionally defunct with read-only archived forums and failed quorums, while major tier-1 exchange support has eroded (including Binance delisting spot trading in April 2026). With liquidity drying up, a >99% drawdown from all-time highs, and no forward remediation, SXP presents an unsustainable risk profile.

About Solar (SXP)
Solar (SXP), formerly known as Swipe, is an abandoned cryptocurrency project undergoing a formal wind-down following the complete cessation of protocol development in January 2026. Originally acquired by Binance in 2020 as Swipe, the project rebranded to Solar and transitioned to operate as a standalone smart-contract and payments blockchain. The native SXP token was designed to facilitate transaction fee payments, delegation, staking, on-chain governance, and SLP token creation, supported by a transaction fee-burn mechanism alongside an uncapped total supply.
The project experienced severe operational failure following the resignation of its lead developer in November 2025 and the subsequent abandonment of its planned Core 5.0 network upgrade due to token swap agreement restrictions. Successor teams declined to assume control of the protocol due to structural issues, including protocol treasury custody situated outside team control and a duplicated token supply on BNB Smart Chain. On-chain governance has become largely inactive; the official governance forum has been archived in read-only mode, and a January 2026 governance signaling proposal failed to reach the required voting quorum.
SXP has faced substantial market deterioration, recording a price drawdown of more than 99% from its all-time high alongside negligible trading volumes and drying liquidity. The asset has suffered major exchange delistings, including the termination of spot trading pairs by Binance on April 1, 2026. In terms of security audits, CertiK completed a review of the SxpSwap contract in March 2022, but the broader core protocol lacks comprehensive ongoing audit coverage or remediation.
