    AI Analysis

    Comprehensive evaluation of the token

Shiba Inu (SHIB) scores an overall 4.6/10 based on a weighted synthesis across its operational and financial metrics. The project benefits from high market liquidity, broad exchange availability, a large base of approximately 1.68 million holders, and active developer maintenance (6.0/10). However, the ecosystem exhibits major structural weaknesses: utility and governance reside largely in secondary tokens like BONE rather than SHIB itself, token burning mechanisms exert negligible deflationary pressure, and whale concentration remains high (Tokenomics: 4.0/10; Market & Use Case: 4.5/10). Governance is hindered by pseudonymous leadership and slow DAO delivery (3.5/10). Security is notably undermined by a major incident on September 12–13, 2025, when 'an attacker used a flash loan to borrow 4.6 million BONE, gaining 10 of 12 validator signing keys (two-thirds consensus), enabling them to finalize fraudulent checkpoints and drain approximately 224.57 ETH and 92.6 billion SHIB (~$2.4M combined), plus ~$700K in KNINE tokens — roughly $3M total drained from the Shibarium bridge to Ethereum,' accompanied by admitted management absences during the crisis (Security: 4.0/10). The overall weighted score is 4.6/10.

    About Shiba Inu (SHIB)

Shiba Inu (SHIB) is a meme-origin cryptocurrency deployed as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain. Launched anonymously by a founder known as Ryoshi, the project has expanded into an ecosystem encompassing the Shibarium Layer-2 network, the decentralized exchange ShibaSwap, and companion tokens including BONE and LEASH. The core SHIB token contract has zero protocol inflation, with more than 41% of the initial supply permanently removed through historical token burns.

Within the project's ecosystem architecture, primary network utility and governance are distributed across multiple assets rather than concentrated in SHIB. Gas fees on the Shibarium Layer-2 and voting weight within the Doggy DAO are tied to the BONE token, while Shibarium's automated burn mechanism, ShibTorch, burns SHIB tokens at an economically minimal rate. Governance and project direction remain led by pseudonymous figures, notably Shytoshi Kusama, alongside the Doggy DAO framework.

The ecosystem has experienced infrastructure disruptions and a major security exploit. On September 12–13, 2025, an attacker executed a flash loan of 4.6 million BONE to compromise 10 of 12 validator signing keys on the Shibarium bridge, enabling the finalization of fraudulent checkpoints. The attacker drained approximately 224.57 ETH and 92.6 billion SHIB (around $2.4 million combined), alongside approximately $700,000 in KNINE tokens, totaling roughly $3 million in stolen assets. The incident followed an earlier disruption to the Plasma bridge in 2023. In response to the 2025 exploit, the team paused staking and unstaking, migrated bridge funds to a 6-of-9 multisig hardware wallet, and engaged external security firms, while leadership acknowledged an absence of management during the crisis. Other ecosystem risks include high whale concentration and limited direct utility for the SHIB token.
