    AI Analysis

    Comprehensive evaluation of the token

Songbird (SGB) functions as the live canary network for the Flare ecosystem, serving as a real-value testbed for FTSO modifications and F-Asset protocols. While the network remains operational under a recognized, VC-backed team led by Hugo Philion, the token faces severe structural challenges across multiple fundamental areas. Active development is strictly derivative of Flare's core codebase, lacking independent GitHub activity or dedicated roadmap execution. Community participation is sparse, with governance proposals heavily dominated by the Flare Foundation via high-threshold default-accept voting mechanisms. Tokenomics are weak, marked by an uncapped, inflationary supply (currently ~17.2B SGB) and high concentration among foundation multisigs, leading to a ~99.8% value erosion from its all-time high. Market liquidity is exceptionally thin with daily trading volumes often under $100K and a modest market cap around $18M–$20M. Furthermore, while no exploits, hostile delistings, or regulatory enforcement actions were identified, Songbird lacks any verified third-party security audits or team KYC verifications on CertiK Skynet. With no qualifying red-flag events requiring an artificial cap, the overall score directly reflects the weighted average of 3.9/10.

    About Songbird (SGB)

Songbird (SGB) is the native token of the Songbird Network, an EVM-based Layer 1 blockchain that functions as the live canary network for the Flare ecosystem. Launched in September 2021 by Flare co-founders Hugo Philion, Sean Rowan, and Naïri Usher, Songbird serves as a real-value testing environment for core protocols, such as Flare Time Series Oracle (FTSO) modifications and F-Assets, prior to their deployment on the Flare mainnet. SGB is utilized within the network for transaction gas fees, governance voting, and FTSO delegation.

The token initially launched with a total supply of 15 billion SGB distributed via an airdrop to XRP holders, without public token sales or venture capital allocations. Songbird operates an uncapped supply model that has expanded total supply to approximately 17.2 billion SGB through annual protocol inflation, which began around 10% and later decreased to between 5% and 6%. Governance operations are conducted using Wrapped SGB for proposal voting, though proposal initiation is managed by the Flare Foundation under a default-accept mechanism requiring a 75% supermajority vote against a proposal to defeat it.

Songbird has experienced severe market contraction, with SGB suffering an unrecovered price crash of approximately 99.8% from its all-time high amid thin trading liquidity. Structurally, the network remains dependent on Flare's development pipeline, lacking independent product shipping or dedicated repository activity. Additionally, while the network has recorded no protocol exploits or security breaches, it maintains no verified third-party security audits or formal team KYC verifications on records such as CertiK Skynet, with emission parameters and network governance remaining heavily centralized under foundation administration.
