    AI Analysis

    Comprehensive evaluation of the token

RUSDT (Rootstock Bridged USDT) is a bridged representation of Tether's USDT on the Rootstock network. The Active Development section was scored -1.0 due to insufficient active development data for the specific token, as RUSDT has been deprecated and superseded by USDT0 on Rootstock via LayerZero's OFT standard. Excluding this section and proportionally redistributing its 20% weight across the remaining five sections yields an overall score of 5.1. Security and audit records for the underlying Rootstock infrastructure are solid (7.5/10), featuring past Trail of Bits audits and active bug bounties on Immunefi and HackerOne with no security exploits or depegs recorded. Tokenomics (6.5/10) reflect a standard 1:1 backed bridged asset with stable peg adherence. However, community engagement (2.5/10) and market adoption (3.0/10) are extremely weak, characterized by near-zero daily volume (~$604) and disintermediation by newer standard implementations (USDT0 and USDC.e). Because RUSDT is officially deprecated and migrated, investors must avoid the legacy asset.

About Rootstock Bridged USDT (Rootstock) (RUSDT)

Rootstock Bridged USDT (RUSDT) is a deprecated bridge token that has been superseded by USDT0 on the Rootstock network following an upgrade using LayerZero's Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard in 2025. Functioning as an ERC-20-compliant wrapped asset, RUSDT represents Tether's USDT bridged from Ethereum onto the Rootstock blockchain. Its core mechanism was designed around a 1:1 mint-and-burn structure backed by underlying USDT collateral, aiming to supply dollar-denominated liquidity to decentralized finance protocols operating within the Rootstock ecosystem.

The underlying network infrastructure is supported by RootstockLabs. Early security audits of the Rootstock platform, virtual machine, and bridge contracts were conducted in 2017 and 2018 by Trail of Bits as well as researchers Patrick McCorry and Andrew Miller, complemented by bug bounty programs on Immunefi and HackerOne. RUSDT does not possess an independent development team, dedicated grassroots community, or token-level governance, functioning strictly as a wrapped bridge derivative.

Following the introduction of USDT0 and USDC.e on Rootstock in July 2025, RUSDT was functionally disintermediated, resulting in minimal liquidity, negligible daily trading volume, and cessation of trading across major tracking platforms. Over its operational history, the token experienced historical peg fluctuations ranging between $0.93 and $1.04. Furthermore, the asset carries inherent risks associated with trusted bridge operations, centralized custodial dependencies, and reliance on the underlying issuer of USDT.
