Comprehensive evaluation of the token
Raptoreum (RTM) is an open-source Layer 1 Proof-of-Work blockchain utilizing the GhostRider algorithm with Smartnode staking. Active development remains modest but ongoing (6.0/10), evidenced by the release of Raptoreum Core 2.0.3 and governance-related updates. The public leadership team led by David Owen Morris and Tri Nguyen provides baseline operational transparency (5.5/10), and the network has maintained a clean incident ledger with no reported hacks, exploits, or regulatory actions (4.5/10). However, the project is severely constrained by foundational weaknesses: there are no independent third-party audits, tokenomics feature an inflationary supply model without burn mechanisms (3.5/10), community engagement and on-chain governance are negligible (2.0/10), and market footprint is extremely fragile with a market cap under $500K and daily trading volume below $5,000 (2.0/10). With no qualifying red-flag events triggering caps, the final score reflects the exact weighted average across all six complete sections.

About Raptoreum (RTM)
Raptoreum (RTM) is an open-source Layer 1 cryptocurrency and blockchain network founded in 2018 and launched in March 2021. Built upon a codebase derived from Dash, Bitcoin, and Ravencoin, Raptoreum operates on a hybrid consensus model that pairs a Proof-of-Work mining mechanism using the custom GhostRider algorithm with a secondary layer of collateralized Smartnodes. The network is designed to support custom asset creation, smart contract execution, and decentralized applications, with a maximum supply capped at 21 billion RTM.
The project is maintained by a public team led by CEO David Owen Morris and Lead Developer Tri Nguyen. Ongoing maintenance has produced releases such as Raptoreum Core 2.0.3, which introduced smartnode voting features and protocol upgrades under RIP01. Smartnodes support network functions and receive a portion of block rewards alongside Proof-of-Work miners, with around 992 active smartnodes operating on the network.
Despite ongoing software maintenance and a clean incident ledger with no reported exploits or regulatory actions, the project exhibits several structural and market risks. Raptoreum has not undergone an independent third-party security audit by an external firm. The tokenomics model is inflationary and lacks token burn mechanisms or documented vesting schedules. Furthermore, the network exhibits a very small market presence, characterized by thin liquidity, daily trading volume below $5,000, a declining smartnode count, and virtually inactive on-chain governance participation.
