Comprehensive evaluation of the token
RGT (Rari Governance Token) is an abandoned and deprecated asset associated with the defunct Rari Capital protocol. Three sections (Active Development, Community Support, and Market and Use Case) lacked sufficient data due to project abandonment and token deprecation, scoring -1.0. Across the evaluable sections, RGT scores poorly due to its legacy status following its migration into Tribe DAO (TRIBE) in 2021/2022, defunct governance, and lack of active monetary emissions. The project's security history is severely compromised by major historical exploits totaling ~$90M (a $10M pool drain in May 2021 and an ~$80M Fuse pool re-entrancy exploit in April/May 2022) and decisive regulatory enforcement: 'In August 2024 (SEC press release 2024-138), the SEC charged Rari Capital and its co-founders (Bhavnagni/Bhavnani, Lipstone, Lucid) with misleading investors and acting as unregistered brokers... settling with injunctions, civil penalties, disgorgement, and five-year officer-and-director bars.' Because RGT is a deprecated and migrated token of a deadpooled project, trading activity has ceased and the token retains no viable utility.

About Rari Governance (RGT)
Rari Governance Token (RGT) is a deprecated token that migrated into Tribe DAO (TRIBE) in late 2021 and early 2022. Built as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum with deployments on Arbitrum One, RGT originally functioned as the native governance asset for Rari Capital, a decentralized finance (DeFi) yield-aggregation and lending protocol. Within the original protocol framework, the token was designed to facilitate protocol governance voting, provide fee discounts, and distribute liquidity-mining rewards across Rari's automated yield and customizable Fuse lending pools.
Following its migration to TRIBE at a fixed conversion rate, RGT's governance mechanisms and economic utility became obsolete. Rari Capital's operating entity is classified as deadpooled, with historical codebase repositories frozen since 2021 and on-chain governance dormant. The token has largely ceased trading across active exchanges, exhibiting negligible trading volume and suffering a collapse of roughly 100% from its all-time high of $64.62 down to fractions of a cent.
Throughout its operational history, the protocol suffered substantial security breaches and regulatory enforcement actions. In May 2021, an exploit of Rari Capital's Ethereum pool resulted in the theft of approximately $10 million. In April and May 2022, a re-entrancy attack on Rari's Fuse pools resulted in approximately $80 million in losses, contributing to cumulative protocol losses of approximately $90 million. In August 2024, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) charged Rari Capital and its co-founders with operating as unregistered brokers and conducting unregistered securities offerings, specifically alleging that RGT was sold as part of unregistered securities offers. The co-founders and entity settled the SEC action by consenting to permanent injunctions, civil penalties, disgorgement, and five-year officer-and-director bars.
