Comprehensive evaluation of the token
REX33 serves as the liquid staked derivative of xREX on the Etherex protocol deployed on Linea. Across all evaluation dimensions, the project exhibits severe structural weaknesses. Development and community engagement are effectively opaque or inactive, with no public code repositories, changelogs, governance forums, or active social discourse identified. From a market and tokenomics standpoint, REX33 has experienced an unrecovered ~99% drawdown from all-time highs and suffers from acute liquidity constraints, characterized by negligible daily trading volume (often under $500) and microcap status. While the underlying Etherex decentralized exchange boasts code audits from established security firms such as Spearbit, Cantina, and Consensys Diligence, there is no verified public audit tailored specifically to the REX33 liquid staking wrapper contract. In addition, exposure to Linea sequencer halts, an anonymous founding team, and significant governance token concentration add operational risk. No qualifying catastrophic exploit or regulatory enforcement action occurred on the protocol itself, but severe economic contraction and negligible market support make it exceptionally risky.

About Etherex Liquid Staking Token (REX33)
REX33 (Etherex Liquid Staking Token) is a liquid-staked receipt token for xREX, the governance and escrowed token of the Etherex decentralized exchange on the Linea blockchain. Minted by depositing xREX, REX33 is designed to auto-compound trading fees, voting incentives, and rebases directly into an increasing REX33:xREX redemption ratio with zero deposit or withdrawal fees. The token operates as a passive yield-bearing asset governed by an automated voting algorithm rather than direct holder voting.
The underlying Etherex protocol incorporates code audited by firms including Spearbit, Cantina, Consensys Diligence, OpenZeppelin, yAudit, and a Code4rena review. However, the custom REX33 liquid staking wrapper lacks a dedicated, verified public audit report. Operating on the Linea network exposes the token to sequencer-level interruptions, including past halts such as the June 2024 network pause prompted by an external exploit on Velocore, as well as subsequent halts in September 2025 and June 2026. Governance of the broader ecosystem is also subject to token concentration, with roughly 25% of the REX supply allocated to Linea and Consensys.
REX33 has suffered a severe, unrecovered price crash of approximately 99% from its all-time high of $0.58335, trading near microcap levels with minimal daily volume and fragmented liquidity. In addition to a sharp market downturn, the project maintains an anonymous team, no public code repository or changelog, and an inactive community presence, leaving its economic security heavily reliant on the liquidity and performance of the wider Etherex platform.
