    AI Analysis

    Comprehensive evaluation of the token

PUMP (Pump.fun) is evaluated with a weighted average score of 5.5/10. The platform exhibits strong commercial market scale ($1.84B market cap) and high revenue generation from its Solana-based automated bonding curve launchpad, supported by ongoing SDK updates and active developer tooling (Active Development: 7.5, Market & Use Case: 7.0). However, these strengths are heavily counterbalanced by structural risks. Security and governance profiles are weak (Security: 2.8, Team & Governance: 3.0), characterized by a complete absence of commercial third-party smart contract audits, pseudonymous leadership under BVI corporate structuring, and zero tokenholder governance rights. Operational security incidents—including a ~$2M flashloan exploit in May 2024 and an official X account compromise in February 2025—alongside substantial insider token allocations (33%) create material overhang. No qualifying red-flag event meeting all strict cap criteria was affirmatively established (past exploit losses were under the severe threshold and remediated), and no section data gaps were present. The asset remains fundamentally tethered to cyclical memecoin speculation.

    About Pump.fun (PUMP)

PUMP is the utility token associated with Pump.fun, an on-chain token launchpad deployed on the Solana blockchain. The platform utilizes automated bonding-curve mechanisms to facilitate the creation, pricing, and early trading of memecoins. The PUMP token features a fixed maximum supply of 1 trillion tokens and incorporates a platform revenue-linked buyback mechanism. Token distribution includes a 33% insider allocation, divided into 20% for the team and 13% for investors, subject to a 12-month cliff and linear vesting schedule.

The project is managed under a British Virgin Islands corporate structure with pseudonymous leadership, including a lead figure known as 'Alon'. Governance is centralized with no decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) or formal on-chain voting rights for token holders. While the platform maintains developer activity and SDK versioning, its core repositories are closed-source. In addition, the platform has not completed a commercial security audit by a recognized third-party firm, relying primarily on a community-conducted security validation of its bonding curve contracts.

Pump.fun has documented multiple operational and security incidents. On May 16, 2024, the platform experienced a flashloan exploit resulting in approximately $2 million in losses. On February 26, 2025, the platform's official X account was compromised and used to promote fraudulent tokens. Further transparency and governance concerns include reported insider wallet sales of approximately $4.55 million in PUMP tokens in February 2026, an SDK vulnerability flag, and broader industry regulatory scrutiny regarding memecoin launch platforms, including reports of illicit actors using the permissionless deployment model for money laundering.
