Comprehensive evaluation of the token
The evaluation of OpenVPP [Old] (OVPP) covers the legacy ERC-20 contract on Ethereum (0xb4c6fedd984bc983b1a758d0875f1ea34f81a6af), which has been formally deprecated and abandoned following the project's migration to Base. Active Development and Community Support scored -1.0 due to insufficient data resulting from the abandonment of the legacy token contract. Across the remaining categories, Tokenomics (1.5/10), Market and Use Case (1.0/10), Team and Governance (2.0/10), and Security and Audit History (2.0/10) reflect an asset with near-zero trading liquidity, exchange delistings, a >97% unrecovered price crash, unverified vesting schedules, and an absence of audits for this legacy contract. Although the project itself is legitimate with a public team operating on Base, this legacy Ethereum token has no ongoing utility or development support.

About OpenVPP [Old] (OVPP)
OpenVPP [Old] (OVPP) is a deprecated ERC-20 token on the Ethereum network that was abandoned following the project's migration to the Base blockchain. Originally conceived to support a virtual power plant (VPP) model in the energy sector, the legacy token was deployed by a team led by CEO Parth Kapadia. With all active operations, development vitality, and utility transferred to the successor deployment on Base, the legacy Ethereum contract no longer receives updates or operational support.
The legacy token had a fixed total supply of 1,000,000,000 OVPP. Governance for the Ethereum deployment was entirely centralized, lacking an on-chain decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), transparent voting mechanisms, or publicly verifiable vesting schedules. Furthermore, no independent third-party security audits were conducted for this legacy contract.
Following the migration to Base, the legacy Ethereum token experienced severe market contraction. Centralized exchanges, such as LBank, discontinued trading support for this version, leading to exchange delistings and formal deprecation notices across major market data aggregators. The legacy token subsequently suffered an unrecovered price crash exceeding 97% (reaching drawdowns over 99% from its all-time high), leaving the contract with near-zero trading volume and negligible liquidity.
