Comprehensive evaluation of the token
NetMind Token (NMT) exhibits severe fundamental and market weaknesses despite having legitimate origins and reputable initial audit work. On the technical side, Quantstamp audited its smart contracts and CertiK awarded an 85.40 Skynet score, but active development has stalled since 2024 with no recent token-specific releases or protocol upgrades. The tokenomics underwent a major reset in April 2024 (capping supply at ~147.57M), but market reception has been harsh: NMT is down over 99% from all-time highs with severe illiquidity (daily volumes under $4,000) and practically non-existent community engagement. Governance is centralized across 21 master nodes and admin keys retain sweeping powers. A March 2024 incident involving a compromised early miner wallet led to a $2.85M dump and an intraday 75% price collapse; while not a protocol exploit, it highlighted distribution risks. Given stagnant development, thin liquidity, and heavy administrative centralization, the overall outlook remains unfavorable.

About NetMind Token (NMT)
NetMind Token (NMT) is the native utility token of NetMind.AI and its decentralized artificial intelligence compute platform, NetMind Power. Founded by Kai Zou, the project operates across Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, and its proprietary NetMind Chain. The token functions as a medium of exchange for AI model training and inference services, gas fees on NetMind Chain, staking, and reward distribution for providers contributing GPU computing power.
In April 2024, the project underwent a major tokenomics overhaul that burned approximately 9.85 million tokens and capped the maximum total supply at 147,571,163 NMT, replacing an earlier multi-billion token supply model. The remaining uncirculated tokens are locked under a 10-year vesting schedule distributed across staking, mining rewards, ecosystem growth, team allocations, and strategic investors. Computational platform fees are partially recycled back into the smart contracts to control circulating supply.
The project faces notable operational, security, and market risks. In March 2024, the compromise of an early miner's private wallet led to the unauthorized sale of approximately $2.85 million worth of NMT, causing an intraday price crash of up to 75% before partially recovering; NetMind clarified that this was an external wallet breach rather than a smart contract exploit. Smart contract audits conducted by Quantstamp highlighted centralization risks, noting substantial administrative authority over node states, address blacklisting, contract pauses, and reward parameters. Furthermore, network governance relies primarily on 21 master nodes without an active decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). The token has experienced a severe market decline of over 99% from its all-time high of $16.09, accompanied by extreme illiquidity, stalled token development since 2024, and low community engagement.
