    AI Analysis

    Comprehensive evaluation of the token

MATICX (Stader MaticX) is a liquid staking token for Polygon developed by Stader Labs that has been deprecated and permanently wound down. On June 13, 2026, Stader Labs officially ceased operations for MaticX, halting new deposits, freezing the MATICX:MATIC exchange rate, and placing the contracts into a claim-only settlement state. Consequently, Active Development received a score of -1.0 due to project wind-down/abandonment, and its 20% weight was proportionally redistributed across the remaining five sections. While the protocol historically maintained strong security hygiene (audits by Halborn, ImmuneBytes, and BailSec with no exploits or depeg events), market adoption has dwindled to near-zero volume and a ~$4.4M market cap. With the official dApp retired on August 3, 2026 and only manual contract-based redemptions remaining until 2029, the asset has ceased ongoing operations.

    About Stader MaticX (MATICX)

Stader MaticX (MATICX) is a deprecated liquid staking token on the Polygon network that was issued by Stader Labs and permanently wound down in June 2026. Designed as a liquid staking derivative for MATIC, the token operated via an appreciating exchange rate mechanism rather than balance rebasing, allowing holders to earn staking rewards while maintaining token liquidity across decentralized finance applications.

The project was created by Stader Labs, founded by Dheeraj Borra, Amitej Gajjala, and Sidhartha Doddipalli. MATICX smart contracts were deployed on Polygon PoS and underwent multiple security audits conducted by Halborn, ImmuneBytes, and BailSec. Administrative controls were managed through a 3-of-5 multi-signature setup, with team-executed off-chain governance rather than an on-chain decentralized autonomous organization.

On June 13, 2026, Stader Labs initiated an orderly cessation of operations, blocking new deposits, freezing the MATICX:MATIC exchange rate, and converting the protocol into a claim-only settlement state. This wind-down followed prolonged market contraction, with the token trading down roughly 94% from its all-time high alongside subdued market capitalization and minimal trading volume. The official user interface was retired on August 3, 2026, leaving manual redemptions directly through the smart contract interface available until August 3, 2029.
