Comprehensive evaluation of the token
Levana Protocol (LVN) demonstrates severe signs of project decay and wind-down across all evaluation dimensions. Active development has ceased following the archiving of its core GitHub repository in July 2025 and an absence of governance proposals since mid-2024. Community engagement and governance participation have collapsed, with three consecutive failed quorums, only ~10% of tokens locked, and an effectively depleted DAO treasury holding under $1,500. Tokenomics are heavily insider-weighted (~61%) with no ongoing fee capture. Market activity has evaporated to near-zero 24-hour volume and a severely depressed market cap (~$350k-$429k). While Levana maintained decent audit history from PeckShield and FYEO and remediated a ~$1.1M exploit from December 2023, the protocol is officially winding down with an announced token merger/migration to Rujira (RUJI / Ruji Perps), directing users to withdraw funds.

About Levana (LVN)
Levana (LVN) is a decentralized perpetual futures trading protocol in the Cosmos ecosystem that is winding down following an announced token merger and transition to Rujira (RUJI / Ruji Perps). The protocol deployed trading instances across several networks, including Osmosis, Neutron, Injective, Terra 2, and Archway, having previously operated on Sei. LVN was introduced as the governance token of the protocol with a total supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens, featuring an on-chain DAO structure and vesting schedules.
Between December 13 and December 26, 2023, Levana Protocol was drained of approximately $1.1 million in a multi-week exploit. The attack leveraged fee-market congestion and bot latency on Osmosis, exacerbated by concurrent DDoS attacks against the infrastructure. In response, the protocol paused position modifications and implemented a deferred-execution queue system to address the vulnerability. The protocol's smart contracts had previously undergone security audits by PeckShield and FYEO.
Active development and market activity have since experienced a steep decline. The project's core GitHub repository was archived in July 2025, and governance participation deteriorated with multiple consecutive proposals failing to meet quorum. With the DAO treasury depleted to under $1,500, negligible trading volume, and a depressed market capitalization between $350,000 and $429,000, the platform directed users to withdraw funds in preparation for the migration to the successor protocol.
