    AI Analysis

    Comprehensive evaluation of the token

KILO (KiloEx) is a decentralized perpetual exchange operating across multiple EVM chains (opBNB, Base, Berachain). While the protocol has demonstrated active development milestones and professional team background from major centralized exchanges, its overall profile is weighed down by severe market contraction and security vulnerabilities. In April 2025, KiloEx experienced a $7.5M price oracle exploit, though the incident was fully remediated after the exploiter returned all funds via a white-hat bounty. However, secondary impacts included significant TVL loss, a ~98% price drawdown from all-time highs, negligible 24-hour trading volume (~$2.07K), and lack of organic community engagement. With only ~22% of total token supply circulating and an overhang of future insider unlocks, long-term token demand sustainability remains weak.

    About KiloEx (KILO)

KiloEx (KILO) is a decentralized perpetual futures exchange founded in 2022 and backed by YZi Labs. The protocol operates across several blockchain networks, including opBNB, Base, BNB Chain, Taiko, and Berachain. KILO serves as the native utility and governance token for the platform, which also incorporates an escrowed token mechanism (xKILO) where stakers receive a portion of platform trading fees, VIP privileges, and participation in platform voting.

The token has a fixed maximum supply of 1 billion, with approximately 22% in circulating supply. Token allocations include a 43% insider share distributed among the team, strategic partners, private investors, and advisors, subject to a one-year cliff and a three-year linear vesting schedule. The token model also features deflationary components, including the burning of unclaimed airdrops and penalties from xKILO vesting.

KiloEx has encountered significant security and market challenges. On April 15, 2025, the protocol experienced a price oracle exploit across Base, BNB Chain, and Taiko networks, resulting in roughly $7.5 million in lost funds. The assets were subsequently recovered after the team negotiated a $750,000 white-hat bounty with the exploiter. In the aftermath of the incident, the protocol saw an approximate 53% decline in total value locked (TVL), and the KILO token suffered an approximate 98% price drawdown from its all-time high of $0.1648, alongside constrained market liquidity and thin daily trading volumes.
