    AI Analysis

    Comprehensive evaluation of the token

Jupiter (JUP) is the dominant liquidity aggregator and DeFi superapp on Solana, commanding over 90% aggregator market share and substantial cumulative perpetual volume. Active development is robust (8.5/10), evidenced by frequent multi-product updates across mobile, lending APIs, and core routing. Security and audits (7.5/10) are supported by extensive third-party audits (OtterSec, Sec3, Neodyme, MixBytes) and an active bug bounty program, with no verified smart contract exploits or regulatory actions. However, these operational strengths are countered by tokenomics (5.0/10) and governance (5.5/10) concerns. While supply burns and net-zero proposals have reduced emissions, JUP suffers from weak demand-side value capture, fee distribution absence, and significant insider allocation (~35.9%). Governance has experienced notable friction, including a multi-month voting suspension that resolved in early 2026. No qualifying red-flag events were established.

    About Jupiter (JUP)

Jupiter (JUP) is the native governance and utility token of Jupiter, a decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator and decentralized finance protocol operating on the Solana blockchain. The platform aggregates liquidity across Solana, routing trades via routing engines such as the Metis router. In addition to spot aggregation, Jupiter provides a product suite that includes perpetual futures trading, lending and borrowing APIs, prediction tools, and mobile applications.

Within the protocol ecosystem, JUP is primarily utilized for governance participation through the Jupiter DAO and access to certain platform launchpad initiatives. The token is not required to use Jupiter's core trading or lending products, and fee-sharing mechanisms for token stakers have not been implemented. Token supply management has included a community-approved burn of 3 billion JUP, subsequent revenue-backed burns, and a February 2026 "Net-Zero" proposal that paused team emissions and postponed scheduled airdrops. Team and insider allocations account for approximately 35.9% of the supply and are subject to onchain vesting schedules through Jupiter Lock.

Jupiter has experienced notable governance friction and community disputes regarding insider voting influence and compensation proposals, leading to a formal suspension of DAO voting from mid-2025 until early 2026, when governance voting resumed following structural overhaul efforts. The protocol is subject to single-chain ecosystem dependence on Solana. Jupiter's smart contracts have undergone third-party security audits across its product lines by firms including OtterSec, Sec3, MixBytes, Zenith, Neodyme, and Offside Labs, alongside an active bug bounty program, with no verified smart contract exploits recorded in its evaluation history.
