However, these technical strengths have not translated into meaningful market share. The protocol competes in the saturated decentralized derivatives sector against giants like dYdX and GMX, resulting in low TVL and trading volume. Community support is notably weak and heavily reliant on artificial incentives, while the tokenomics suffer from a high insider allocation and potential supply overhang despite a robust buyback mechanism. Consequently, DERI represents a technologically sound but commercially struggling project.
