Comprehensive evaluation of the token
COREUM (Coreum [OLD]) is a deprecated legacy token undergoing phase-out as part of an ecosystem unification plan with Sologenic. Two sections (Active Development and Community Support) had insufficient data (-1.0) because active development and community channels on this legacy asset have ceased in favor of the successor chain, and their weights were redistributed proportionally across the remaining categories. The asset exhibits terminal operational and economic decline: the XRP Ledger cross-chain bridge suffered a security exploit on August 9, 2026, draining ~99.7% of reserves (~$200,000) and leaving bridged assets unbacked. Furthermore, the token has experienced an unrecovered drawdown of ~97.98% from its all-time high, has virtually zero trading volume and liquidity, and lacks ongoing utility. In accordance with the deprecated token rule, the asset is deemed obsolete.

About Coreum [OLD] (COREUM)
Coreum [OLD] (COREUM) is a deprecated layer-1 blockchain token that is being phased out as part of an ecosystem unification plan with Sologenic. Originally designed as an enterprise-oriented, compliance-focused blockchain built using the Cosmos SDK and secured via Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus, the project was co-founded by Bob Ras and Reza Bashash. The token was developed to facilitate network operations, staking, and asset tokenization across its native chain.
Following the decision to unify the ecosystem under a successor chain and token, active development and community support for this legacy asset have ceased. The token operates with a total minted supply of approximately 101.99 billion COREUM. Staking participation on the legacy network remains minimal at roughly 3.02% of supply, and liquidity on secondary markets has largely evaporated.
The asset has experienced severe operational disruptions and market deterioration. On August 9, 2026, the cross-chain bridge connecting Coreum and the XRP Ledger was exploited due to a deposit-verification logic flaw, allowing an attacker to drain approximately 199,916 XRP (valued at roughly $200,000)—amounting to about 99.7% of the bridge's reserves. The incident left bridged assets effectively unbacked and forced the bridge offline without an immediate official post-mortem or recovery timeline from the Coreum Development Foundation. Alongside these security failures, COREUM has suffered an unrecovered price decline of approximately 97.98% from its April 2022 all-time high of $0.7011, accompanied by a near-total collapse in daily trading volume.
