Bent Finance

Bent Finance (BENT) is a defunct and abandoned project following a critical insider exploit in December 2021 that effectively destroyed the protocol. Originally designed as a yield optimizer for the Curve ecosystem, the project suffered a theft of over $1.6 million when a 'rogue developer' or insider used the single deployer key to compromise the smart contracts. Since then, there has been zero active development, and the proposed migration to a new platform ('Tilt') never materialized. The tokenomics are broken due to the exploit's manipulation of supply, and the team—who remained anonymous and failed to implement basic multi-signature security—has disappeared. With negligible trading volume, no governance, and a complete loss of community trust, BENT exists solely as a 'zombie' token with no functional use case or recovery potential.
